Sony announced at IFA 2016 in Berlin, two new smartphones: Xperia XZ and Xperia X Compact specs. Earlier, we wrote about the first, and the second, however, the first held under the name Xperia XR.
Xperia XZ housing is made of a material called ALKALEIDO – under it is understood specially treated piece of aluminum with rounded edges and protection from dents. The model will be offered in dark blue, brown and silver design. Protection against water and dust, expressed in the form of compliance IP65 / IP68, provided the novelty.
Xperia XZ is equipped with the 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and it is based on the flagship chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, working in conjunction with 3 GB of RAM.
Also referred to the 32-gigabyte drive, a MicroSD support up to 200 GB of capacity, port USB Type-C (for the first time for Sony smartphones), a fingerprint reader and a battery at 2900 mAh. The latter supports the fast charging QuickCharge 3.0, but it is not clear whether the corresponding unit will enter the power supplied. The camera in the device 23 megapixel (aperture – f / 2.0) with a sly autofocus system called Triple Image Sensing: this means that the focusing is carried out by means of laser, phase and color systems. Support recording 4K-video, the new product also features. Front-facing camera with a viewing angle of 90 degrees allows you to receive a 13-megapixel photos.
Xperia XZ Sales will begin in October. The model will be the top-end device in a family of Sony Xperia, as it is positioned even higher than the Xperia X Performance.
Sony Xperia X Compact specs – it seems to be the next flagship compact, but not so simple. The model uses a Snapdragon chipset 650 – is not the most efficient solution, while the previous “compacts” from Sony could boast just flagship hardware platforms. However, given the resolution 4.6-inch screen at 1280 × 720 pixels, there is a suspicion that the Xperia X Compact specs performance will be the same as that in models with Full HD-display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820.
By design, the compact new reminds Xperia XZ, that’s the only body in her plastic and there is no protection against water. The amount of RAM and internal memory – 32 GB and 3, respectively, have a front-facing camera to 5 megapixels, the battery on the 2700 mAh that supports QuickCharge 2.0, USB Port Type-C. Camera 23 megapixel, exactly the same as the older model – Xperia XZ.
Buy Sony Xperia X Compact will be in September. The device will be offered in black, white and light blue colors.
