How to install Android 7.0 Nougat download on your Nexus

ACTIVATING USB-DEBUGGING AND UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER

1. On your Nexus device, go to Settings → About phone / tablet.
2. There, find the section with the build number and tapa on it as long as the shows: “Now you are a developer.”
3. Go back to the settings and go to the Features section for developers.
4. First, activate the switch itself functions section for developers.

1. Turn off your smartphone or tablet.
2. Hold the power button and the volume decrease button.
3. Open the standard Windows command prompt and navigate to Platform-tools folder with the command cd c: / android-SDK-windows / platform-tools /
4. In the terminal, type fast boot flashing unlock
5. On the device, hold down the volume increase and the power button to confirm the unlocking of the bootloader.
6. Then enter the fast boot reboot command on the computer.

The bootloader is unlocked and ready to install other firmware on the device.

ANDROID 7.0 FIRMWARE ON YOUR DEVICE

First, you need to get yourself firmware files. At the time of writing the news they are not available for all devices (direct download link):

• Nexus 6P (yet).
• Nexus 5X (NRD90M).
• Nexus 6 (No).
• Nexus Player (NRD90M).
• Google Pixel C (NRD90M).
• Nexus 9 LTE (so far).
• Nexus 9, Wi-Fi (NRD90M).
• General Mobile 4G (yet).

The downloaded firmware file must be placed in a folder Platform tools, which is in the directory of android-SDK-windows with the necessary utilities (ADB, etc.) – mentioned earlier in the article.

WE NOW TURN TO THE FIRMWARE:

1. It is necessary that the device was in an unlocked bootloader mode (refer to step [3]). firmware file must be located in the Platform-tools folder.
2. Open the Windows command prompt. Inside it, go to Platform-tools folder with the command cd c: / android-SDK-windows / platform-tools /
3. Enter the command ADB devices
4. With the help of it, need to make sure the device is properly connected to the computer. If everything is OK, then enter the flash-all.bat team
5. After that starts the system firmware update – only need to wait for its completion.

Recall, all these operations you are doing with your gadget at your own risk. If something goes wrong, the device may remain inoperative.

OTA-UPDATE
