Nokia has, according to rumors, is preparing the announcement of two Nokia smartphones 2016 under its own brand. In Feng Chinese resource has information about the features of the camera module devices – it is made of graphene.
UNIQUE CAMERA
Both Nokia smartphones 2016 will have a metal casing. But the main feature of the devices will be camera module based on graphene – a material with unique properties, which opened Russian scientists Konstantin Novoselov and Andre Geim in the early 2000s. Graphene is a sheet of carbon just one atom thick, which makes it very thin, energy-intensive and durable material.
PATENT
Nokia has patented graphene image sensor back in 2012. But the development did not find use in commercial devices – the technology required elaboration. It is assumed that graphene would make the camera module thinner and cheaper modern silicon sensors.
