ACER SWIFT 7 REVIEW: THE PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

Acer is the price of Swift 7 release in Europe 1299 € This makes it more expensive than the MacBook Apple – as thin as a pancake, so Acer firmly went into the territory of the premium. Again, the Swift 7 has a processor Intel Core m7, whereas the MacBook at this price is only m3.

Exact price in Europe and the release date for the Swift 7 must be confirmed soon, but it will be around the end of 2016.

ACER SWIFT 7 REVIEW: DESIGN AND BUILD

He is thin. In fact, very thin. While Acer has gone all-in with the marketing line “world’s thinnest”, you can not ignore the fact that the design of this laptop is a miracle – 9.98mm at its thickest point when it is closed, this means that Swift will be 7. slide into the bag, as the magazine. in it, there is a 13.3-inch screen with Gorilla Glass, which is great, but unusual for a notebook, thoughtful design of the hinge, which displays two performance indicator (lights up when opened or closed). it is a pity really, that this aspect of the design is not used a little better, to give the user more information – it’s just two tiny lights.

The cover is made of a metal black, and the base is a metallic gold. It is currently the only option for the color and follows the examples of Apple and HP (with its ultrabook Spectre) through the introduction of gold in its premium range of laptops. This is a golden base has a full-size keyboard on which the keys are, at first glance, appear to be too far apart. Fortunately, we spent a few minutes on Swift 7, typing text, and – this is no problem. Quality keys enhance the impression of high class and the nature of the product.

Swift 7 also has a great trackpad, to be precise 72mm. We do not know why it is so huge, but it means that navigation through Windows 10 is an absolute breeze, so we’re not complaining. In general, we can not blame the design, although compared with other ultrabooks, such as Dell XPS 13, the bezel around the screen is wide enough. It does not feel like it disappears in your bag like the MacBook, but it’s a bit unfair comparison given the fact that Apple’s MacBook has a smaller 12-inch screen.

If you like the design of the Acer Swift 7 at a glance, the rest does not matter, anyway – it’s great.

ACER SWIFT 7 REVIEW: FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS

Acer Swift 7 specs has a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display, which reproduces colors very well, and pages read, even at the lowest brightness setting. As we mentioned earlier, it has a Core m7 processor, the most powerful at the moment. It is paired with 8 GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. The combination should be very effective.

The notebook has two port USB-C, giving Swift 7 charging through them, plus the implementation of data and external display connections. There are no other ports other than the headphone connector.

Acer Swift 7 Review: Above hands with the thinnest laptop in the world, we must examine all the characteristics of a laptop in a more extensive review, including the wisdom of installing speaker Dolby Audio on the bottom of the case. This means that the audio sounds great when the device is on a flat surface of a table, as it creates a decent gain.

ACER SWIFT 7 REVIEW: SOFTWARE

Swift 7 running on Windows 10. Windows 10 is really good, so no need to worry about this component.

Specification – 13.3″ Full HD IPS 16: 9 display with Gorilla Glass thickness 9.98mm 1.1kg Intel Core M7 CPU 8GB RAM 256GB SSD 2x USB-C

OUR VERDICT

After the first good impression of the elegant design of this notebook Acer Swift 7review, we believe that he has the right to life. The fact that Swift has 7 Core m7, it has the potential to get into the circles of both business users and consumers. We believe that its size may be slightly smaller, but it’s nitpicking. Acer did superbly create a stylish equipment that stands up well to a number of his rivals.

Acer Swift 7 at IFA 2016. In fact, the thinnest laptop in the world!

Not spared the annual IFA show and the company Acer. Taiwanese brought to Berlin a few interesting new products, but the most interesting is a laptop called Swift 7. It is the thinnest device in its class, its thickness is 9.98 mm. This laptop Acer Swift 7 specs weighs only 1.1 kg. But whether this device is interesting something else?

Notebook Acer Swift 7 specs are equipped with a 13.3-inch IPS-display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The screen is covered with tempered glass Gorilla Glass (about what exactly the generation in question are not reported).

Acer has revealed the thinnest laptop in the world. The thickness of the new model Swift 7, “dressed” all-aluminum body is not more than 0.39 inches (9.98 millimeters). New products will be presented at the IFA 2016 news consumer electronics in Berlin, which opens on September 2nd.

The device on Windows 10 uses the latest Intel Core i5 chip is the 7th generation (micro-Kaby Lake), which was officially announced yesterday. Despite the super-slim body, Acer novelty can boast a rich set of ports or capacious battery. It has two ports, USB Type-C 3.1 and 3.5-mm audio jack for headphones.

On some vents we are not even going, so it is clear that work on the new platform Intel Kaby Lake. For the serious problems it is not enough, but to perform daily activities is quite enough. RAM provides 8 GB and storage of 256 GB is available (of course, we are talking about the SSD-drive).

Given the dimensions, connectors abundance nobody expected. So it is, Acer Swift 7specs is equipped with two USB Type-C 3.1, and Mini Jack for headphones. At first glance, this is not enough, but Apple has shown by example that even with one USB Type-C can live. Battery capacity is not reported, but Acer’s representatives assured that on a single charge the laptop can run for up to nine hours.

Start of sales is planned for October this year. The Acer Swift 7 price is expected in the region of 1300 euros. It all looks very tempting, although the price is a bit of bite. For my tasks (typing and viewing videos on YouTube) power this laptop would suffice with a head, but the compact size would be a huge advantage. How a company new Acer?

Notebook Acer Swift 7: the new king of the thickness

When Apple launched the MacBook, it immediately labeled a very thin laptop with its super slim body. Since then began a real race among manufacturers, who will release even more slim body. First, beat the mark of 10.4 mm (0.41 inches). And it was the HP Spectre. His call was the thinnest laptop in the world. But it was at the beginning of the year. And now the Taiwanese manufacturer Acer has used the exhibition IFA-2016 consumer electronics in Berlin, to select the winner of the crown, by issuing a new standard in 9.98 mm (0.39 inch). A new record was the Acer Swift 7 price laptop.

Although a thickness less than 1 cm, Swift 7 still looks solid in terms of specification. Power comes from Intel i5 processor the seventh generation, combined with the memory up to 8 GB, to store and use the SSD to 256GB. From the product can safely expect a battery life up to 9 hours. Although the volume of the battery is not yet known to us.

Compared with the previous reviewer, the HP Spectre you can buy with the same processor i5 and 256GB SSD memory, but it is also available with the Intel i7 processor and a solid state drive 512 GB storage … if you are willing to pay.

But let us return to our record holder. Swift 7 weighs only 1.1 kilograms (2.48 pounds). While the sale is offered only one option – a black-and-gold aluminum housing with a screen diagonal of 13.3 inches and a screen cover protection Gorilla Glass. So, this notebook is more difficult to scratch or break than other laptops. In principle, nothing surprising. The thinner the body, so it is more fragile. For enhanced protection.

Being thin and light notebook Acer Swift 7 price is not without a few compromises. And that falls first under the knife when it comes to the reduction of the body? Of course, the ports! And in this case, the manufacturer left on the body only two USB-ports C. Although it is two times more than can be found on the Macbook, but still on one port less than what you might find on HP Spectre. Also, there is no mention of equipment Hub product, which is made from a single port number, like on a laptop Zenbook 3, where buyers get freehub directly to your computer.

But the problem is trimmed seats do not prevent the manufacturer to equip a laptop fingerprint reader, and give the keyboard backlight. A wireless Wi-Fi signal is processed by two separate receivers 802.11 ac through MU-MIMO system.

The beginner also got a huge trackpad for its size, the convenience with which the right is difficult to say. In any case, this laptop may not draw attention to themselves and certainly find its buyer.

THE REAL ACER SWIFT 7 PRICE
